Students' COVID-19 experiences: Integrating knowledge, attitude, and practices strategies for teaching science

The junior and senior high school student experiences regarding their knowledge, attitude, practices during the COVID-19 pandemic need to explore. This qualitative research uses a phenomenological technique with 20 students (10 JHS 10 SHS) as sample. Students learned about illness through multimedia, filtering misinformation, self-driven data gathering, community support, teacher-facilitated discussions. They also cultivated attitude toward disease personal reflection on pandemic, conducting activities such experiments test acquired considering influences, due self-motivation appreciation of right pandemic. Finally, they executed parents' peers' influence collaborative team planning, learning from expert demonstrations, participating in activity-driven action. SHS have had wide range knowledge acquisition, inculcation practice implementation disease. are eye-openers science educators. With this, there should be improvements education curricula that address current other unforeseen health issues.
